With child!

Hi all! We are very excited to announce that we are expecting a third child!!! The due date is July 29, which means that I am 13 weeks along, as of tomorrow. I got to see our little bean squirming and kicking on Tuesday as I had an ultra sound to make sure everything was okay.

It has been a fairly anxious pregnancy so far. At 6 weeks I experienced a threatened miscarriage for a week, and then after that I had spotting for 3 or 4 more times afterward. My Dr was pretty worried. He told me that if we could get to 12 weeks and see a healthy baby on ultrasound, then we would pretty much be out the woods! So I was SO relieved when I got to see the ultrasound. It was like an enormous weight was lifted off my shoulders! I had my Dr. appointment right after, and even got to hear the babies heart beat! So cool!!!

I have also been dealing with some pretty intense morning sickness- well noon sickness actually. Morning sickness and chasing after 2 toddlers dont exactly go hand in hand so I decided to go on Diclectin, which helps take the nausea away but leaves you incredibly tired! I decided to go on it over the holidays- which was kind of a blessing and a curse- I was a zombie while I was trying to figure them out, which made me a terrible guest at the inlaws, but at the same time it was such a blessing because there were so many extra hands to help take care of Aurora and Auggie! Thanks Tim, Laura, Carmen, Chris, Jaclynn!

I ended up taking only half the dosage(2 Diclectin at night) for about two weeks.... Problem with that was, I felt like a zombie every single day.... I felt like I was in this oppressive fog... I could barely take care of myself, let alone my babies! I felt like a terrible mother.... I felt DEPRESSED. That was not how I wanted to start off this new journey. So I decided to go off them... only to be met with oppressive morning sickness! Almost as debilitating, but certainly more physically miserable, if not mentally oppressive!

I decided to try just one a night before bed and it seems to be the perfect dosage. I am still a bit groggy in the a.m. but it stave's of the nausea and vomiting for most of the day! 2 days ago, though I forgot to take my Diclectin at night thinking oh well, my 1 trimester is pretty much over and thus, the morning sickness should be over(as it was with Auggie, alas.... no go... I was vomiting all day. So it looks like maybe, this is going to be like my pregnancy with Aurora.... Sick, until 22 weeks pregnant.... Oh well!!! It is SO WORTH IT in the end!!!

That's all for now! So excited, and I will updating again with the 18 week ultra sound picture when the time comes!!!
